It’s like riding a racetrack with heavy police enforcement.

This is a fantastic highway. From the start at “the church”, Taylor Way & Hwy 1 to the end at halfway up the Duffey Lake Road. The ride starts at a very common meeting point. Usually you will find a few other motorcyclists here waiting for their riding buddies. After a short run through West Vancouver the good stuff starts and doesn’t end! The S2S hwy has recently received a major upgrade to make it into an amazing scenic hwy. The only downside to this hwy is the large police presence. The speed limit is 80kmh, 60kmh and 90kmh. On a motorcycle (or even a car) the highway is comfortable traveled at 120kmh or higher. Johnny Law will be more than happy to issue you a fat stack of tickets for this! Or worse, being impounded for 40kmh over. You really have to pick your spots and hope that oncoming motorcyclists will warn you.

First stop you should make is Galileo Coffee at Britannia Beach. It is right before the historic mine in it’s own white house. They have excellent coffee and a fantastic view. If Galileo Coffee is closed head up to the Squamish Starbucks where no doubt several other motorcyclists will be. The bland Starbucks drinks are made palatable buy the friendly crowd.

On your way North the speed limit increases to 90kmh and scenery is even more stunning. Carry on until you come up to Callaghan Road. This is 10kms one way road to past Olympic Venue. Perfect pavement and great curves gives is your reward if you have no speeding tickets yet! If you haven’t stopped by Whistler check it out. If you have carry on to Pemberton.

Whistler to Pemberton is a nice jaunt but the real curves wait for you past Pemberton. Fillup at Pemberton and enjoy the fresh pavement, unbelievable curves, and stunning scenery. When good pavement ends (and it will). Turn around and do it all over again!
