1st Gear is located in Richmond, BC, Canada. We offer an extensive, hands-on motorcycle training course. It is taught by myself and other experienced professionals. It is a combination of classroom and practical training. This will give you the confidence to get out on the road. I want nothing more than see you experience the fun and excitement of riding motorcycles.
After riding for 10 years the opportunity arise to start 1st Gear with a few other good friends. I couldn’t say no as this was a change I was looking for. I quit my career in Financial Planning in April 2014, 1st Gear was fully operational.
Our instructors are recognized by ICBC. They have more than 25 years of combined riding experience. Our training and real world experience allows us to teach you practical and useful skills. These will keep you safe on the road.
We make it easy for you to learn. We offer an engaged and animated classroom environment. Out on our two acre training lot (the largest, unobstructed in the lower mainland) we have four different types of motorcycles for you to learn on. We also provide the helmets, gloves, jackets and rain gear for your safety. All we need from you is your willingness to learn and a learners motorcycles license.
Our enthusiasm and love for motorcycle riding will shine through. We will teach you the techniques for navigating and dominating the road on a motorcycle. Safety is our number one priority. These skills will take you a long way in your local and long distance rides. Don’t put off learning to ride anymore. Now is the time!
